We Embark Genetic test our Danes. We feel that a DNA test will show conditions that may not  show up until years later on traditional testing. Our Stud is OFA certified in hips and elbows.We carry a variety of toys, including chew toys, balls, and interactive toys.

There are a few things to consider when looking for a Great Dane. They have a shorter life expectancy than most breeds but with proper care and nutrition your Dane can live a happy full life. If you are not fond of slobber then a Dane is not for you! The Great Dane is an extra large breed that requires extra of everything . You will need to take into consideration vet bills and food costs along with vitamins and don't forget the larger than life waste you will be picking up. With all this being said they are worth every minute of extra care as they are loyal lovers and live up to their reputation as gentle giants.

At Macomber Danes we strive for excellence and that goes for our adoptive families as well. We have an application to fill out that will need to be reviewed and approved prior to placing a deposit on one of our babies. We are big on educating our future families on the breed so that they will be well prepared for their new addition. We want success and have a strict returned contract . We love to watch our babies grow so we require our families to give pupdates every 6 months. We offer breeder support for life....call us any time of day or night we will be there to answer any questions or concerns you may have.

No, all our pups are sold on limited registration unless I have an ongoing relationship with you and your kennel.
